Tmobile Ringtones

TMobile is one of the leading mobile carriers in USA and Europe, providing a full amount of mobile entertainment services, including ringtones, ringbacks, games, data transfer, internet etc. Many recording companies are collaborating with the leading artists to create remixes, in order to obtain short, from 90 seconds to 2 minutes, versions for ringtones. Recent proposals in this niche - made by Sony version in 1 minute 55 seconds of "Left Outside Alone" singer Anastasia, American, popular in Europe, as well as ring tones based on hits for the Beyonce singer and the Universal artists - the group Limp Bizkit and Lionel Richie. Two record companies, units of Vivendi Universal SA and Sony Corp., Signed a contract with the mobile carrier T-Mobile, unit of Deutsche Telekom AG, the sale of the Mobile Mix in Britain, Germany and Austria. If the idea will be worth it, TMobile ringtones, available worldwide 61 million customers, will be avaiable to the U.S. market. Its library includes 200 songs. In some cases the version of Mobile Mix can be simply a shortened version of the customary single, in others - record or mix of ringtone will create a new version.

T-Mobile and its partners believe that to the extent of diversification of services, consumers will buy for ringtones shortened versions of songs as a preview emerging singles. The songs will be available for a short period, such as four weeks, between radio start and delivery in a broad sell. In Britain, the price for ringtone set at $ 4.50, in Germany - € 2,50, the proceeds are divided between the T-Mobile, and record companies.

The next generation of ringtones - clips of actual songs, instead of the short version. They cost $ 2.99 and are estimated to some market participants, ranged from 1 to 15% of their business.

With the development of technologies record companies hope to use mobile phones for music distribution and promotion via ringtones of high-quality recordings (discs). "Mobile phones are a key channel for the dissemination of music in the future, but it is very important to rethink the way of the creation and dissemination of content", - said Tsedrik Ponsont, head of the telecommunications unit Universal Music International.
